Product introduction：perform surface pre-treatment (degreasing and chemical processing) to base plate as cold rolled strip and galvanized strip on continuous unit, then coat a layer or multi-layer fluid coating through roller coating and perform baking and cooling process to fabricate coating steel plate. Since the coating has different color, it is used to call the coating plate as color coating plate, meanwhile the coating is performed before steel plate formation, the plate is called as pre-coated plate in international market.
Process flow：Color coating steel plate is a product, which is fabricated through performing pre-treatment to the base plate as cold rolled steel plate and galvanized steel plate and then performing continuous coating in the method of roller coating, baking and cooling.
Main production steps in process flow of common two-coating-two-baking type continuous color coating unit is as follows: de-coil→pretreatment→coating→baking→post-treatment→coiling.
Product application：Coating steel plate has many advantages, such as light, good-looking appearance and corrosion resistance, and can be processed directly, this plate provides a new raw material to architectural, ship-building, automotive manufacturing, furniture and electrical industries, and this product may substitute woods as raw materials to facilitate high efficient construction, save energy, prevent pollution and etc.
The color coating plate using galvanized steel plate as base plate has zinc protection, the organic coating on the zinc plays the role of covering and isolation to prevent rust and provide higher service life than galvanized steel plate. It is said that the service life of coating steel plate has 50% longer service life than galvanized plate.
However, service life of color coating plate with same galvanization quantity, coating and coating thickness varies with location and application area. For example, in industrial area and coastal area, the sulfur dioxide or salinity will fasten corrosion and shorten service life. In rainy season, the coating immersed in rain for a long time, or part exposed to environment subject to dew due to large temperature variation from day to night maybe corrode more quickly than normal weather condition and service life will be shortened. Buildings or factories built with color coating plate and subjected to rain washing has longer service life. The sulfur dioxide gas, salt and dust will affect application. Therefore, the higher the inclination is, the lesser the accumulated dust will be and the longer the service life will be; As for those part with less opportunity receiving rain wash shall be regularly washed with water.

A、Coating product introduction
Color coating plate is a product with a baked and cured layer or multi-layer of organic coatings on surface after surface pretreatment (chemical degreasing and conversion) on base plate, such as hot galvanized plate, hot aluminum plating and galvanized plate.
Currently, Baosteel has 3 color coating plate units, the advancement degree of equipment is in top level in domestic trade. The unit is equipped with two-coating-two-baking process. No.1 coating unit has designed annual productivity of 220 kiloton, No.2 coating unit has designed annual productivity of 170 kiloton and No.3 coating unit has designed annual productivity of 150 kiloton.
Baosteel adopts high quality hot galvanized, hot aluminum plating galvanized and galvanized plate as base plate for coating plate, and uses polyester, modified silicon polyester and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) provided by domestic and international reputable manufacturer as coating, meanwhile, the company integrates advance management, technology and experience of coating plate production in production to fabricate various high quality coating plate, embossed and printing plates with beautiful appearance.
